No, “demonstrators” help deliver practical labs and might be anyone from a PhD student up to a full prof – depending on what the local nomenclature is. A visiting lecturer is someone who is not part of the local staff who comes in and does a few lectures, possibly just one on a course. Its a way of bringing in say an industry expert to give their take on a subject.
