Best accomodation for people who want to avoid living in "party" halls?

Hello!

I'm going to start 1st year this year and am moving into halls. I'm currently deciding which halls I want to apply to as I don't want to be in "party" halls, that really wouldn't suit me as I like quiet in the evenings to work and go on zoom calls.

What is the social atmosphere of Winton Drive, Murano or Carincross?
Thanks!

Murano is the party hall. It's pretty extreme. Avoid it at all costs (lived there)

Cairncross and Winton Drive are solid choices. Cairncross is the larger of the two, but don't be discouraged it's pretty quiet (had a friend who lived there). Winton might be best for you. However, Cairncross is closer to the Uni and the area at night is very safe, well lit and people. Winton is a bit farther and my impression going its way was that it was a bit dodgy, dark and almost deserted, but if you don't plan to travel by yourself late at night you'll be absolutely fine. It really depends on your preferences after all. Hope I helped!
