cant do 2.2 how do you get 14700 for surface area i know its (17.5 times 17.5 times 6) times 8 cubes but like how do you get 17.5 shouldent the length be 35 divided by 8 not 17.5

Think about slicing a cube. If you slice in half you have two 17.5x35x35 cuboid. Slice them in half to get four 17.5x17.5x35 cuboids then in half again to get eight 17.5x17.5x17.5 cubes.

1 -> 2 -> 4 -> 8 cubes each time you cut the pieces in half you double the number of pieces.
