Why wouldn't it be legit?

They only seem to offer AQA and Pearson Edexcel but they look fine for those. They will have had to jump through some hoops to become a registered exam centre and will have annual inspections by JCQ to check they continue to comply.

I've heard the centre mentioned for a few years (so they've been around a while), positively I think.
I've just seen this but thought I'd comment in case others google and find it whilst looking for information on the centre. I've just had a tutee do their assessments through the centre. As a result of quite a number of issues (including not having anyone to mark so my tutee has lost all their university offers and not allowing the additional support for their learning difficulty, as requires by law), a formal complaint is going into the DfE.
Please stay away from excel exam centres. They are absolutely frauds, unprofessional and rude.I booked my test for 12 and was told to get there 15minutes before which I did. Upon arrival the building was shut and their receptionist arrived at 11:58 (2 minutes before my exam was scheduled to start) and she was absolutely rude. She said she had no idea an exam was booked for the day and she is unsure if her colleagues knows but he is running late. I couldn’t believe this is an approved exam centre. She did not offer me a place to wait, she was aggressively rude and when are colleague arrived at 12:10, he had the same uncaring attitude.I was so scared and worried and asked to be refunded my fees. I was told them being late and their staff being rude is not good enough reason to be refunded and they have refused to refund me.I have found a lawyer who is happy to represent me because he advised he has heard of similar issues with some exam centres taking advantages of students and acting improper and going against consumer rights and what was agreed.I am still shaken by it all as this happened yesterday but I am happy that I found someone who is willing to help without any charges because He is also shocked at their response as an approved exam centre.Trust me stay away from this centre, I know they have a few branches, they also email you sometimes using a yahoo email address which is quite sketchy.

Letter of Refund/Complaint on your service. To whom it may concern, I contacted Excel Exam Center on the 11th of December 2021 after checking out the website. I rang the business and spoke to a Mr. Shafa Ullah who promptly sent me the details of the exams. Mr. Shafa confirmed the following: Although the October deadline late entry date had passed, I was assured that I could go ahead and book the January examinations. Mr. Ullah informed me that I had to pay an additional £200 for late entry. Now looking back a late entry of £200 sounds outrageous for a student needing to take exams. That is almost as much as the exam fee itself, and I should have suspected something was not right. On the 16/12/21, I paid the total sum of £600 to a Santander account as instructed by the attached email from Mr Ullah. The Details of said account are:Name of account: EXCEL EXAM CENTRE LIMITEDAccount number: 39897181Sort code: 09 01 29 There was no acknowledgement until I requested confirmation of receipt of the funds as well as the examination details. An email confirmed the payment with a promise to follow up with details of the exams in
