how long did it take everyone to get an acknowledgement and then an offer?

maybe im being impatient but neither Hull or Loughborough have even ackowledged my application, yet Kent ackowledged it the day after it was submitted, and made me an offer within a week.

i just wanna know where im gonna be going :frown:

I applied two weeks ago and got my confirmation last monday. I got my offer last thursday, so it only took a week for mine. That was for computer Sciences though, it probably differs for different departments.

well, go to Liverpool or Loughborough then. Infact why bother applying to Hull, you applied! Don't waste the space if you have better options.

Tbh, uni is what you make of it, sitting on your own in your room in Hull is no different to sitting on your own in your room in Liverpool.
Yesterday I got an acknowledgement for Geography and Physical Geography

Has anyone else applied for Geography or physical geography? I would love to know who my competition is ! :p:
applying for Drama and Film Studies anyone else??

I don't know about Loughborough or Liverpool but Hull University Union is one of the best in the country and from personal experience I have a great time every time I go to one of the union nights, plus it's really cheap. From what you've said it sounds as of you've done little to no research on the uni and it's facilities. Give it a chance.

I came from manchester and i can honestly say its nowhere near as bad as i've heard people make it out to be. I like it, it really is what you make it and i've had a better time than i had ever imagined.
Hull is a great city to be a student in!

I feel the need to reccomend 'The Lawns' when applying for accomodation - loads of Halls on one complex - en-suites, catered, self-catered etc. to suit everyone, but the layout of the 'blocks' is really sociable, so you get to know loads of people rather than corridors or little flats of 6 or so. Come to Hull and go to the Lawns for your first year - best year of your life I guarantee you!!

Any questions about the Uni/City feel free to ask!
