I'm a Londoner going to Hull in Sept 09. I've got an unconditional place, so hopefully I'll get first choice of accommodation!

Not necessarily. Tbh the accommodation sorting seems like a huge mess. I have one friend who had Hull as their firm and was placed in temporary accommodation until a room became available. I also have another friend who had Hull as their insurance but they were given a room straight away, but idk maybe they were exceptional circumstances and you will be fine.
Does Hull have any halls which are single and en-suite?
Reply 131
you should check the website for hull university, they have information on accomandation

Yes, en-suite is hard to get though, quite limited so apply early. I wanted en-suite but ended up in shared, have had absolutely no problems.

Ditto, I wanted en-suite but applied too late (not my fault, my mum has a habit of putting the post in places where I can't find it) but got a shared bathroom. I don't mind though, having a shared bathroom in uni is just like sharing a bathroom at home with your family.

Is he English? How does he find the social side of it?
