You intend to be paid for the job you are lying to get? That's what it's got to do with money - you will be taking money when you weren't the nest candidate for the job.

Just remember that your application whether it is a CV and covering letter or an application form is part of your contract with the employer. If you lie on it, then assuming the lies influenced their decision to hire you, then at any point, if they find out, they can fire you for gross misconduct (and technically more, but that only happens in more senior roles). Being fired for gross misconduct is a far harder issue to work around that not having the right skills for a job.

If you think you can do a job, then you have to be able to prove it through evidence of using those skills. Entry level jobs are entry level for exactly the reason that the skills they require can be gained in areas other than work. So you use basic admin office skills in school and university ie using Microsoft software, Outlook diaries etc.
