Does anyone know if UCL and Manchester accept near-miss grades on the results day for chemical engineering?

Simple answer is that no-one knows - because no-one has a clue about what this year's grades will look like and therefore how many applicants will fulfil their offer conditions. Until that is clear then no-one will know how many 'spaces' there are on any course and therefore how many 'near-miss' applicants will be accepted this year.

If you feel you are within a grade of the offer then its worth that gamble - because if you don't even try for it, you could spend many years wondering what might have happened if only you had. Just make sure your Insurance choice is a Uni that you would still be happy to go to.

Thanks for this.
