Describe a single geometrical transformation that maps the graph of y = 3^x onto the graph of y = 3^2x

So x is replaced by 2x ... what do you have in your notes about such a transformation?

Wouldn't it be a horizontal stretch parallel to the x-axis, scale factor 1/2 then?
