The teachers at my college say UH-CAS and it drives me mad!
At school it was pronounced YOU-CAS, which sounds normal.

Personally I think its YOU-CAS.

How do you pronounce it?

UCAS used to be called UCCA, which is probably why your teachers pronounce it UH-cas. I'd definitely pronounce it YOU-cas.

I meant to ask this the other day, after inspectors came to our school and asked me about my Uh-Cas application, to which I just looked confused.
I was pretty sure it's You-Cas, but now I'm wondering if I'm wrong
Hopefully there's a poll to come.

It used to be pronounced UH-CAS (my teachers pronounce it like that too!), around the time your teachers were at school, but now it's YOU-CAS.

Everyone at college just accepts that its UH-CAS

It's been annoying me for months!

I'm glad to see everyone agrees, and its not just me being weird!

I and, as far as I know, everyone at school pronounces it you-cass, but my dad always says uh-cass as when he applied to uni the system was UCCA (as BJack said)...I always tell him that it's you-cass, but he's not learning =).
