Hi  very good question. My eldest goes to lancaster and shes currently in a Grizedale townhouse which is shared.

Ensuite is split over 2 types. Standard and Superior.
Standard ensuite.
Fyldes ensuite is at George Fox building which is opposite Grizedale college and thats about 10 mins walk to Law. Not a problem so much when it rains as you have the covered walkway called the spine. The kichen is shared between 11 so its very sociable.
John creed which is County basic ensuite is one of the cheaper ensuites, so if you like no frills, then john creed is the way to go. Similar to Bowland ensuite.
Superior
If you want to go for a Superior ensuite then Furness Central, Fylde, County South, Grizedale and Pendle West are your options.
Pendle superior ensuites I believe are on south east campus (a you tube vlogger called Charlotte Mulcahy and you will be able to see her room). so a little walk by about 15 mins but not too far.
Grizedale again about 10 mins walk.from what daughter says the grizedale and pendle are similar in design when it comes to the room.
Furness is the closest. literally 2 mins walk. Furness we ate in the courtyard last weekend with the fountain and its a lovely college. I like their lobby area too which leads straight to Trevor the local bar. ('alice does physics' went to furness on her channel, but was standard shared)
County south is also quite close too. a couple of minuites.
Lonsdale and Cartmel Colleges are on south east campus and they are about 15 mins walk.
Bowland College's Superior Ensuite rooms are in Bowland Tower. Bowland is also close as well, same as furness. with Bowland tower you do get good views.

when your choosing your accommodation you have to pick two choices and they have to be in different colleges. so you cant do grizedale townhouse, and grizedale superior ensuite. But you can do pendle superior ensuite and Grizedale superior ensuite.

My daughter studies Physics and thats directly opposite Law. When she has in person Labs she enjoys the walk there from Grizedale. She didnt want to be too far away, nor too close. She wanted her home away from work, so thats why she picked what she did. And shes doesnt mind sharing 4 between two bathrooms on her floor. never an issue with bathroom hogging lol

hope this helps

Hi @Anonymous
Did you manage to choose your accommodation?
If not this link about en-suites at Lancaster might be helpful for you https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/accommodation/undergraduate/ensuite/#whats-the-difference-between-the-different-ensuites-403399-0
These type of accommodation can be found in: Bowland, County and Fylde Colleges.
Bowland and County are both close to the laws school building in Bowland and Fylde is only a short walk in the other direction!
Let me know if you have any questions!
