If you wish to move to a different school do you simply just turn up at the different school on results day? I don't fully understand how the process works.

No you don't do that. Is this moving to a different school for sixth form? Application details will be on their website

Yeah I have fully applied and have been given a conditional offer which depends on the grade that I get but when I get the requirements on results day do I simply just turn up at the school?

No. On results day they will be totally focused on their current students - celebrating good news and supporting those with disappointments. If you have an offer it probably tells you what to do - for my daughter I needed to send the admissions person a photo of the results printout as evidence that she made the grades. Then some formal documents came in the post about joining - sometimes new starters or lower sixth form students go back a day earlier in September. You should also formally tell your current schools that you won't be going to their sixth form if that was a possibility.

They'll tell you - check the paperwork - or you could ask. At my 6th form they ask new 6th form applicants to turn up to verify their results and confirm their options from 09:30 (The Y11s receive their results in a different building between 09:00-10:00)

It depends on the school. All 4 of the schools with a sixth form in my town normally expect new entrants to turn up on the morning of results day to prove their results and confirm their options.
