So I have had an earache for about 2 years and I have visited the GP about 5-6 times, they gave me spray, various antibiotics but none of them worked. I recently visited the GP again and he gave me antibiotics and oil and I used that but the pain still didn't go away so I went back and he said it's not your ear it's your throat as it was a bit inflamed and to gargle with ginger water and it should go away, so it has been more than a month and the pain hasn't gone, it's really bothering me, I don't know what to do.

There is not much you can do but go back to your GP and try to minimize the pain in the meantime. Cough drops and gargling with saltwater can be good for your throat, paracetamol and a heat pack while you sleep can help with the ear pain.
