UCL vs Bath PharmacyWatch
I have a friend currently split between UCL and Bath for pharmacy. They are unsure where to go, UCL seems better academically and more prestigious but costly and perhaps a little unsafe and they aren't the biggest fan of big cities - on the other hand Bath is small and safe but not as academically great (still quite good nevertheless). London being London probably also comes with better opportunities and networking and societies and etc. Any pointers will be appreciated
I am from Bath and I must say that it is tiny and irrelevant compared to London. Bath's nightlife is severely limited and (depending on what kind of person you are) you might find it cagey due to its size. Now, of course, if that doesn't matter to you then you go for it. Bath Uni's campus is quite a way away from the centre of Bath and is at the very top of a quite high hill. Thus, I would assume most people use public transport to get from the relatively inexpensive parts of the city where they live to the uni. Though of course, if you lived in London, you'd be travelling much further for your commute.
The Uni provides a good hybrid that you wouldn't get in London; it has expansive fields on its doorstep and fields can be seen almost anywhere around Bath, but Bath also provides kind of commodities that you would expect in a city.
Bath is certainly cheaper than London but it is still more expensive than the rest of the UK. Just a heads-up really.
If you have any questions about bath lmk.
UCL is more academically prestigious tho imo...
