Getting a boyfriend is not necessarily the best antidote to loneliness. It’s probably better to get to know some new people and find one or more people whose company you enjoy, and then just spend quality time with those people. Signing someone up as your boyfriend just for the sake of having, generically, ’’a boyfriend’’, might rush you into a relationship with someone you’re not well-suited to, and also it implies that you’re less interested in them specifically as just having a boyfriend in your life.
