Taking History A Level without Taking it at GCSE

Hiya!

I am hopefully going to be starting history this September without taking it at GCSE. Please put some advice below for what I could do over the summer and what the course is like! At my school, we do Edexcel and the Russia, Mao's China and British Empire topics.

Good luck! I hope you enjoy it !

I would say watch documentaries/movies , read some books about some of the topics to get basic idea of them, maybe even some A- level summary videos of key events

I think the BBC should have some interesting documentaries and podcasts on BBC sound . Also, I think @thehistorycorridor on Instagram have some great things on British History
