I’m thinking of switching but also doing geog french triple and further maths. Would I struggle too much? I like history but can’t say I’m the best at dates. Thought I’m willing to put in my time-

I'm doing history for GCSEs and i'm not good at dates either but I love history. It's actually really fun as so far all we've learnt about is Gin and how it made people sell their children in pawn shops (that was funny as everyone thought it was the other kind of pawn, spell porn ya know? dunno if you'll learn about that but my teacher has a thing with gin, coke and anything with alcohol. lmao

Dk bout your school but we learn about nazi Germany, Elizabeth and her religious settlement, you don't really need to remember dates btw I thought the same but no juts key events like Spanish armada and treaties

I'd say if you're prepared to write quite a lot, enjoy learning about history and can remember key dates and figures, history would be a good option!

im in year 11 and i do history. i think it can be interesting but if you dont want to have to remember loads of dates or write a lot of essays dont do it. even i regret choosing it cause it takes so much time to remember dates and all the events and stuff for each module.
