Central School of Speech and Drama (CSSD) Accomidation Hunt!

Hi all!

I'm currently looking at possibilities for accomidation in London for if I recieve an offer from Central for a 21 start on their Writing for Performance course - getting very nervous becasue I know finding somewhere to live in London can be quite tricky!

Struggling to find somewhere close to the uni or anywhere to meet potential housemates etc, so I came here!

I should hear about an offer in 3-4 weeks, but trying to get ahead just in case (what with London being the location)

Hope to hear from someone for advice where to look!

Edit: I got my offer through so the hunt is truly on now!

Of course! The uni have some online forums to help find flatmates - RCSSD Accomidation Group (I'll link it at the end) and the SAS (Student Advice Service) can offer support in what to look for when finding housing, but it's rare that Uni of London has spare accom to offer Central students, so expect to private rent or use student accommodation companies. I personally have never lived in any of the popular student flats from companies such as Unite, I've always dealt with a Landlord, so I'm not sure how things like that compare, but it's all about knowing what you want and sticking to it. Not sure how much specifics you'd like, but hopefully that helps! Let me know if you have any specific questions 😊

Hey there! I have an offer for an MA at central. I've booked a studio flat at Francis Gardner Apartments which are a short 20min walk from Central. It's pricey but depending on your budget and your needs for accommodation it looks good.

Alternatively, I know that Central have accommodation deals with IQ Student flats in Wembley and maybe a couple other locations. I found booking accommodation through AmberStudent the best way to do it!
