DSA Laptop

I want to get a Macbook Pro for university and I've been recommended a laptop through DSA. I feel like it would be better to get the laptop through the apple website when the airpods deal comes through later this year. Is it allowed to buy a laptop from a different supplier and get student finance to pay the contribution they are willing to pay to me instead of the supplier?
