When integrating a curve to find the volume, do you first expand the y^2 or not and when to expand

It must depend on whatever makes the integral easier to evaluate. In this case, expanding the y^2 would certainly be the way to go.

The differentiation part the questions regarding prisms(area , volume , surface area ) are quite alot but what are the formulas we should know on which shapes which are common
