I've heard that children's is the hardest branch to get into. Don't know if it's because of the high demand or that there are very few places on children's. Probably a combination of both. Have you got a place Sabsbabs1? Which branch?

children's branch only has about 45 places. well it was for our year, and i know your intake has been cut, so it could be even less now!

Hey childrens places have been cut this year by about 20 places! There were 55 places last year and 35 this year! It's very hard to get into cause off the limited places! Congratulations to all those who've heard and got in and good luck to those who are waiting, I've got my fingers crossed for you all xx

nah they where 45 this year, 3 tutorial groups and 15 in each...
but i would well believe they have cut them down to 20... it is getting harder and harder!

there is no way of answering that... the only advice I can offer is, phone tomorrow morning. But remember, places are still offered until the day before the course begins!

nah, just checked cos that meant i had too many on my list. I do know 7 have dropped out, and 5 are pending a decision on their resits to see if they have got a place.

yeah, well the only thing is, the less peope qualifying every year means less competition for jobs afterwards. I know that is a lost sentiment... but, believe me when you go out on placement, you will start to think that way :frown:

hey guys, hopefully the wait is almost over for everyone, if it's any consellation I know that someone from my access class phoned yesterday and was told he would be called tomorrow if he had got a place for adult. Don't know what the situation is with other branches though, just appears that the successful people from reserve list for adult are starting to be notified tomorrow!

I don't think so, im sure all the other branches phonecalls are still going on too, the guy from my class was just told that he wouldnt hear until at least fri this week because he applied for adult!
Don't lose hope though if you're a different branch...like everyone has been saying they are calling people right up until the course begins! What branch are u waiting to hear from?

aww thankyou so much! iv applied for mental health! im really nervous! got results last week there and hv had no luck!! went to BMC today to try get in 2 do biology alevel in a year so i can reapply next year but al courses are ful! i realy dont no what im gna do :frown:

so frustrating like! if i dnt hear by tomro im gna ring on monday to c what my options are! c about feb intake!
