Nursing at Queens...

Hi Kat. Uniform fitting didnt start til 9.40....Was meant to start at 9...the room hadnt even been set up. Then enrolement after...i was finished about half 10. Then everyone that had enroled at 9 was over at uniform fitting...so the queue was getting quite long. tried on a polo shirt, a tunic, a coat and the lovely high waisted trousers. I phoned registry there and the lady said that there will be someone in the office tomorrow that I can speak to. I will be on the phone first thing...lol. Got student card and all, I just want this sorted quickly as I like to have things done... like yesterday.....lol....Glad you have all that OH out of the way. Not long now...... :yep:

you will need your student number and password :smile:

and this looks to be it, if you check previous phase 1's, its pretty much what came previous, tuesdays and wednesdays be practicals and tutorials, and you will get them times later, but you will be in both days

Cazalou, that's great, you're definately all sorted now, so relax!! I know how you feel though, you just want everything to be 100% done, i still have to wait to next week, but i'll get there.

Does anyone know any of the books that we will definately need for 1st year, someone said something about a nursing calculations book. I'd like to have a look around amazon or e-bay for good deals.

had uniform fitting and enrolment today :-) did anyone think the trousers were very small fitting!?!? i got 1 size up from what i usually wear and they were still snug! unless i've been eating too many buns over the summer lol

are you sure you where wearing them right up on your waist? i wore mine on my hips, and was complaining they where tight, they all laughed so hard when they realised :dohh:

Aww, how'd your little one get on on their first day at big school?

Could anyone let me know the times we're in on mon - fri, according to timetable.
I can't access it as i'm behind with things as i was only offered my place last tuesday.
Confirmed this morning that i should go to the extra uniform fitting next week instead, but to go ahead for the occupational health today.

Awwh she cried her eyes out, but I had to jus leave her, quite stressful :frown:

I also bought a navy hoodie an ordered my name badge! They cudn give us our student cards hav 2 go back on monday as the systems were down...lol...Roll on monday :smile:

hi girls, glad you have got your qsis thing sorted Cazalou that would have been frustrating. My trousers are rather snug aswell, lets hope I lose some weight by first placement! Love the tunic, feels real now :smile:

hi went to enrole today and the girl said the printer wasnt working come back Monday! I was so cross, think I will phone tomorrow just to make sure this was correct dont want to lose my place because the uni doesnt think i enroled!

Most of the 4-5pm group have to go next Wed!!! Anyway how did you know you had to order name badge thats the first I have heard it mentioned??? Is it just me or am I missing some info??

Hi Fizztastic, I hadn a clue about name badges, jus when I was over buyin a hoodie the girl asked me wat course I was doin so I cud get discount, an when I said nursing she said oh do u want to order a name badge so I did, it was somethin like £8 so mayb its optional, I jus ordered 1 anyway lol...she said they take a wk to cme in!

Lmao....the trousers were half way up my ankles so I ordered the longer length...I think they were small fitting though an the tunic was big enuf fitting...an as for the coat...il say no more lol :rolleyes:
