Thank you I am soo happy, have two weeks of exams starting monday and then that's me till hopefully September. I know I was hanging out the bedroom window when the postman came this morning, think he nearly had heart failure  x
I was placed on reserve list year and again this year. I'm gonna ring registry on Monday to find out my interview score. I am soo upset. I want to study nursing soo bad. Does any body know as of what score you need to get into Adult Nursing at Queen's!::confused:
Did anyone from BMC College Square East Tech get conditional offers for Nursing at Queens
Did any of you that were offered places get ya's get help in preparing for the interviews. I finished college last year and when I called into college to speak to carrers advisor. They told me that they could not help me cos I was no longer a student.:frown:

hey this isn't probably gonna help you much, but myself and anyone else i know that got in, didn't get any help from college with interviews, we all used this website and basically winged it on the day, but in saying that we were all mature students with quite a bit experience behind us.

HI, when i was doing my access course, Queens had an interview workshop day that I attended. I found this really helpful and we even had mock interviews. It was just to put you at ease and several other people from other techs were present and after it we had feedback from the person taking the interview and the other people in the room. It was daunting but well worth it and definately put me at ease for my own interview. Im not sure if these workshops are just for tech students...but maybe its something that you could enquire about. I am a mature student (31)...and have 3 kids....but felt very nervous about the pending interview. This definately helped me and i would recommend it to anyone who is determined to get a place.
i prepares answers for every possible question i could think of, i spent ages researching, and tried to remember a few ket points from every question.
xx
Have you any idea as of when the nursing workshops take place. I attended the BMC in college square east. Tutors never spoke about work shops. Do any of ya's know what score you need for adult nursing? My friend was a reserve last year and got a place in Aug 2010.

Last year they had the workshops but it was only for Mental health and Learning difficulies if I remember right, they didnt have one for Adult. My friend came with me (im mental health she is adult) but they wouldnt let her attend. Its really good, you get a tour of the place, meet the tutors and some current students and have a practical class, ours was on hand washing (sound boring but it was really good, as they had these uv lights to check how well you did it) the day was good fun.

yeah, that was after people got offers. I am doing adult and didnt get to go to that either. I am talking about preparation for the interview. If you contact the student guidance centre on 90972904 and ask about them. Ask for the widening participation unit and there is a lady there that should be able to help you. I went to downpatrick tech and they told us about the workshop as queens had informed them. I hope this helps....
Thank you I will give them a call tomorrow!
