You need a list of all the vaccinations you've ever had, and this has to be signed and stamped by your GP. I'm posting my filled out occupational health check form today, took them so long to sign the thing!
Oh joys my doctors surgery is so slow I am sure I'll have some chasing around to do!

For the vaccinations that we haven't had do we need to arrange to get these with our GP or do occupational health organise it ?

I hadnt had a jab so i got my gp to give me it but that was months ago for my job now.
If youre worried, ask your gp to start you off. Everyone needs the hep b and occupational health will guide you in the right direction for arranging other jabs etc.
No I think you just send them a list of what you have had. And the occupational health team will tell you which ones you need and then you can arrange it with your GP. Basically what deviant182 said
Thanks guys )) as I'm feb in take I'll hopefully have enough time to get then? As I know I missed my bcg years ago and I haven't had meningitis C jab either x

You can't start the course until you have started your hep b (or so it says on the stuff I received today).
And as for your other jabs, you have to have a gap in between getting all the different vaccines etc, usually at least a month. So if you want to make sure, I'd ring your gp and explain you're starting a nursing course and need your vaccines you never had as a child
I did this with one I found out I was showing as non immune so I could get that before starting my hep b as I've had that through work.
Luckily my gp was fairly good with getting it sorted.

I don't think I've had my hep b injection , should probably get that's sorted! I've had my men C injection. I think I'll wait for queens to get back to me about the occupational health check before I do anything further, do they email you when they've got your health check form ??

We've all been sent out starter packs and when we go to the uni to enroll they give you an occupational health appointment. Hep b is not a mandatory vaccination. It's given to health workers, that is what Queens will organise for you. It's if you haven't had your bcg or mmr etc that you'll need to organise with your gp.

You may not hear from them right up to starting or a couple weeks in when people drop out, are unable to enroll etc.
So keep them fingers crossed!

I'm not surprised! I was on UCAS deadline date!
We have enrolment on the 9th so that day people may not turn up or have the right id credentials etc and then people will drop out in the first few weeks as it does happen.
So best of luck with the waiting, it's teaching you patience at least!

Am gona ring them may next wed and hopefully they b able ta say were I am placed on ta list...it's bit of a joke cos I work and have a little girl I sort of need ta no were I stand if ya no wat I mean.. Try get things organised wou love feb intake ta b honest just get Xmas over..
When do Feb intake apply for bursary is it just in Feb anybody know what stuff we will need to send them I've lost loads of old payslips so not looking forward to all of that I had to send copies of my qualifications but I wasn't given any instructions on what originals to take and when or do you not have to do this anymore
You don't need payslips or anything like that for the bursary, it's only if you want to apply for the extra financial help they'll ask for those. The bursary isn't sorted out until welcome week - don't worry. Take the originals of all the qualifications you used to apply with - GCSE etc.

Friends of mine who had not had the bcg prior to starting were given it by OH - I'm not 100% sure about the mmr etc but I believe queens give those vaccinations too - and (as mentioned above) everyone has to have the hep b injection before they go out on placement.
Thanks for the info I had it in my head they wanted past income details for some reason lol thanks )
