Nursing at Queens...

I think they sent the email so that they are not bombared with phone calls about when offers will be out, I am hoping they will tell us end of May/ June instead of end June, seems so far away :frown:

hey guys!

i never got the email, and i know 110% my email address was on the application form.
my friend got the email and forwarded me her copy. and instantly after reading it i said to my hubby, that it was very much orientated towards those who seem to be going to get offers... so i'm now believing i haven't got a place....BUT... ITS NOT OVER til the letter arrives so there is still a glimmer of hope there!!!

Hi Lilysue79......I dont think e mail was just for people who are getting offers.....its probably just an oversight.....HURRY UP JUNE!!!!! :smile:

myself and another guy in my class both got the email but a girl in my class did not and she says she definately had her email on her application

I agree, there is no way that email was just for people getting offers. They will notify everyone by letter. there are a whole lot of reasons some people won't have got the email; it could be flagged as spam by the ISP due to the images or just blocked because its so big or Queens could have mistyped the email address etc

UU were much friendlier than Queens and put you much more at ease, but the grades are higher for UU.
I think everyone will get a letter from Queens, but it takes a long time as they have 100s applicants, the interviews seemed to go on for weeks.

For Access its the same grades they are looking for...over 65%. I just wish we knew one way or the other now.....i had my interview on the first day 15th March........seems like soooooooo long ago.....

I hadn't thought of it that way, but now that you say that it does sound that way! However, has anyone been rejected as yet? Im not sure that would be a nice way to find out!! There is of course the chance that it was a typo when the email address was taken from the app form and put into the system??? :eek3:

I don't understand why they actually have to wait till june, they must have marked all the interviewes by now. My friend did her social work interview 3 weeks ago and found out she got a place a week later, and the demand for social work is as high as the demand for nursing, so why all the waiting? surely they must mark as they go along so by the end of all the interviews all they need to do is place them in order of highest till lowest then let people know.

Sorry i know im ranting, but I have been waiting since the start of March.

Does the letter tell you your interview score??? I came out of interview feeling ok....and now that i have had loads of time to really think about it and what i said....i cringe.... :o:

Cazalou I was exactly the same! I felt it went ok then when I got home I started thinking about my answers and all the things I should have said, especially with so many people applying im not too sure now.

Cant wait to get the letter and find out, feel like im in limbo, hopefully it will be start of June :smile:

I know...will just have to keep checking in......hopefully they have just said the end of june to stop people calling.... :yep:

Hi guys i dont think we will have to wait til the end of June i think they just said that on the e mail meaning that end of june at very latest. I had my interview at end March and i asked when we would expect to hear back and the man that interviewed me said by end May/start June. I was also talkin to someone who is also waiting to hear and she heard 7th June.

My sister got into nursing last year and she said she got a letter from occupatiental first then a few days later the acceptance letter from Queens so if any one gets a letter from occupatiental health there is a big possibility of bein accepted.

You won't get any indication of your interview score on a letter offering you a place as its of no relevance to anything other than deciding who to offer a place.

The staff that sort through all applications and deal with offers etc deal with the administration of the whole school of nursing and midwifery, thats why it takes them so long.

The email that was sent only mentions types of offers? I can only assume that there will be rejections as well, they couldn't possibly put everyone on a wating list who didn't get a conditional or reserve conditional offer?? Does anyone how of anyone who has been rejected from Quees in the past?
