Hi Amy Sugar
Well done on your reserve list letter. Hope you get a place:smile: , is it Adult Nursing that you applied for? I got a letter this morning with an offer for the Mental Health Nursing starting on the 21st September 2009. So hang in there, you never know:cool:

Hi too old for this
congratulations on getting a place for adult nursing:woo: . I too am a mature student, chuffed to bits I got a place in mental health nursing in sep. . Did you do an access course, I have just a few weeks left in my access course, it's hard work though I was told it will prepare you very well for university life, I intend to give it my all, anyway.

I got my place! Learning disabillity nursing starting on the 15th Feburary

Slightly confused though the letter says:

Offer: GCE and/or Alevel- CCD where a relevant science subject is offered

Now I already have AAC at Alevel but none are a science subject so what does this mean?

Would have been on this earlier but i had to work.....damn retail!

I have been offered a place (subject to police checks n health check etc) for Adult Nursing starting on September 21st. Shocked to get a place to say the least....was originally going to interview to go on reserve list but aww well.

Congrats to everyone who has been offered a place ...and to anyone who has been placed on the reserve list I wouldn't get too worried most people will get onto the course.

Its weird even though I have the offer of a place I won't feel relieved till I have a letter saying welcome to Queens lol

That means that if you dont have a science subjuect you need CCC, which you already have lol
Oh im glad to hear that everyone who was on the reserve list got in last year!! I just emailed queens and asked where i was on the list.. so fingers crossed! Well done to everyone !
Yea Trysha I'm doing an access course, not long left for me either. What age are you? Im 28 in sep, have no kids but would love one, am torn between starting nursing and deferring for 1 year, it's lousy timing to be broody, but I've felt like this for a year now.
Anyway I think I've worked so hard for two years that maybe not going to uni would be wrong, and when I got my letter I was so pleased!

 omg thats a huuuge list!

It really goes to show that you can do fantastically in the interview and still end up on the reserve list. At least you're near the top fingers crossed for getting a place come August!

I think going into nursing with say a one year old would be extremely tough for so many reasons. Could be best to qualify..get a job then start a family:smile:

Hi too old for this
Sound advice from jason 1990. btw, i have sent you a pm
I know I know, it would be a nightmare, but I will have to wait 5 years before having a family, need to be qualified and then in a job for a while to qualify for additional maternity. I would be 33 by then. My sister is due a baby in June so I'm hoping having a new niece or nephew will be enough for now!
Thanks for the advice guys
