I went for my interview a while back and a rang up for my score. I went for the adult nursing and scored 19 out of 25. They said i am on the reserve list, does anyone know what my chances are of getting the much awaited phonecall. I know a few friends who are on the waiting list and they have ascore of 17.

Mine is not must better but still better.lol. Can someone please help put my mind at ease?

Another question, i put adult as my first choice and childrens as my second and im staring to regret it, i would have much perferred childrens. What is the likelihood of getting your second choice.

Hopefully you will get in, but to be honest i woound take what offer they give you even if its not the one you want. The first year is exactly the same no matter what branch you do, and in theory you may be able to change branch in the second year.

I think people with a score of 22-25 currently hold the offeres, come thursday these people who dont meet the required grades (or other requirements) will have their places given to people on the reserve list, starting by their score. With more places on adult, you will stand a better chance of being on this reserve list. Good luck.

I know that a few people from my tutorial group were borderline and some didn't find out for definite until about 4 days before the commencement of the course.

I thiiiink they offer the reserve places by phonecall as a priority and then after that letters of rejection begin to be distributed....Really just going to be a waiting game for some people as unfortunate as that is:s-smilie:

Louise, at the minute i am really looking forward to get back, as nerdy as that sounds; but i know by week 2 i'll be countin the days till christmas lol...no doubt sick of the phrase evidence based practice blah blah

oh i know... love the name of the module though... RIP (Research in Practice) :haha:
No, I will be counting the days down to placement!! I LOVE placement... :woo: :yep:

Hey, I'm thinking of doing nurseing but I'm also thinking of doing midwifery. Could I get into either of these courses at Queen's Uni with the following grades:

English GSCE - C
Maths GCSE - C
Sngle Award Science GCSE - C

CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education BBC (A-Level)
BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts DDD (Distinctions also Alevel)

Many many many thanks :p: xxxxx

Unfortunately if you do not have a science at A Level you need to have Double Award Science, I think a CC... but not 100% sure... I know I had BB, so its not more than that...

Thank you very much for your info. im going to V festival on Thursday over in London. So what if they ring and i dont answer will my place still stand or because i didnt answer will the place be given to someone else. Im going up to ask them today when im showing them my results.

I am so looking forward to starting (If i get a place). I think it will be the most exciting time.:woo: I myself am an Engineer and i have retrained to become a nurse. Is anyone else in the same situation, and what are your plans if you dont get a place.:eek3:

I got asked why do u want to be a midwife, why does a midwife have to be of good character, what characteristics do u have to be a midwife and what issues are there in midwife in the nhs. Hope this helps I got placed on reserve list, they mark u very tough n u have to have a perfect interview at least 19 out of 20. (that's queens anyway).
good luck for everyone today!

you might get in.. but don't pin your hopes. There may have been someone to get in with them results, but it will depend on their circumstances, and their subjects... and this year is so oversubscribed!
Don't give up, hold on... :hugs:
