How would I be able to explain an energy level diagram for the reaction between zinc powder and copper sulphate.
Can someone reeaalllly explain this one to me please

Exothermic reaction:

What is happening is the reactant has a higher energy than the product. So as the reaction progresses, there is a release in heat energy to the surroundings thus decreasing the enthalpy. So as you’d imagine, with more energy to the surroundings, it will make the surroundings hotter.

In terms of activation energy, which isn’t illustrated on that diagram, how do you think it’s important?
