Is i the x-axis or the POS x-axis?
Is j the y-axis or the POS y-axis?

Similar to your other post.
i is usually the unit vector along the positive x-axis
j is usually the unit vector along the positive y-axis
So
3i + 4j
is equivalent to (3,4), and
-3i -4j
is equivalent to (-3,-4)
