can you add extra unit to your btec level 3 applied science

Hi, I wanted to know if you are able to do an extra unit outside your original Btec units, in order to boost your grade and if so how are you able to do that?

Hi

I asked about this ironically a few days ago to my teacher, the answer is no. I suppose it does depend on the course you're doing but the units are mixed with mandatory and optional units that the college chooses for the class. If that helps?

You cannot do them as an individual. If your school is saying No, it will be because they don't deliver the Ext Dip (and you are probably doing another subject alongside). Your only option would be to complete the Diploma and then try and find another College that MIGHT let you transfer next year. However that might not be allowed due to funding rules.
