Do they have a website? If so, you can try WhoIs

Or you can...read the phone book :p:

Why does your Dad want to do this.
Yes there is a (possible) way. But why?

Look at the electoral register.

go on 192.com and just enter the address in the location box. well it worked for my house anyway

One of those computer programs or websites that let you search the electoral register might let you do it, but ultimately it's not easy to find out - and quite deliberately so.

I've been getting letters 'to the occupier' about TV licensing stuff for years since they can't even find out my name.

It says to the occupier because they want to contact anyone living there, not a specific individual, I.e they just want to make sure the house has a tv license, they dont care who's paying for it.

Use 192, search the address. The electoral register will show all living at said address. HOWEVER you have to pay to see this information. Its cheap though.
Oh and as for your Dad, tell him to call the police, they can and will do the search for him.

The last time I looked at The Electrol Register I could have sworn I looked up the address and it gave the names (given and surname) of the people registered who live there.

To cut a long story short my dad has an address and wants to find the name of the person living at that certain address. so anyone know how this can be done (except by knocking on thier door).

Thanks in advance

So, how did this end up then?
