Hi random question but I was just wondering if an iPad is useful for sixth form? Does anyone have one? Is it much easier?

I don't have an iPad but I do have a touch screen laptop that can work as a tablet bc it bends backwards. I think it's pretty useful to take notes with. Saves you the effort for printing out PPQs for sure!!

It can definitely be helpful for taking notes, but it's not essential.
A lot can depend on how 'into it' your school is - at my old 6th form, there was one guy with an iPad who had to scan everything when he got home because teachers couldn't get their heads around giving him PDF copies of worksheets and things.

I recommend a mini laptop, or a laptop itself. ipad can limit your note taking.

Unless you want to buy an ipad pro, in which case it would be good

No. I've never used it for work, and I've had iPads for as long as I've been in secondary school. If I need the internet to work or word/pp, I prefer using my PC. I also like paper notes rather than virtual notes.

I have a laptop but it’s not ‘mini’

Yeah I was just thinking about free lessons in school so it might be harder to take a laptop into school
