I feel like my parents spend to much money on me but I want them to stop because it feels like they're trying to buy my love and they don't have to because I love them for who they are, not what they get me.

Yes, and then they always tell me, "Now's not the time to talk about that."

If they want to spend money on you, and you feel it's too much, ask them if they can transfer the amount into your bank account / a pension account for long-term saving.

Well I really felt guilty last Christmas because my parents got us a bunch of stuff and as much as I enjoy the stuff I'd rather connect with them then be sort of isolated.

And by the way, I wouldn't call myself spoiled.

Just tell them that you would like to go on a vacation with them.

Why? To make them spend more money? That's the exact opposite thing I want to do. I just want to know how I can repay them.

Well, you said they won't listen to you and you want to spend more time with them. It's kind of like a win/win.

And that's good because we're going on vacation this summer, well when covid is over.
