I will be going to university next year in London. I will be staying home and commuting. I'm aiming to graduate debt-free or something close to that. I can take the maximum maintenance loan but I don't want to. I've budgeted according to my needs and I would need £2500 per year. This is the amount that I will be getting from the bursary of my university. If I were to need more, I could get a part-time job 8 hours and make the same amount. Mom wants 200 per month. My issue is that I'm worried that these things won't fall in place by the time I've started university. What would you do if you were in my situation

You can get the minimum amount of maintenance loan, which would be just over £3,000.
You can also make voluntary repayments, meaning you could give back whatever you didn’t use at the end of the year when it hasn’t gained as much interest
