My dad left home and to another country 5 years ago and we don't know where he lives however he is still legally married to my mum. When my brother did his student finance he didn't get the full amount because they claimed he was still living here and I'm scared the same will happen to me. Is there any solution to this and get my full student loan?

Your mum just needs to demonstrate that she is separated and lives alone. Single person council tax discount letter is usually the easiest.

A letter from a solicitor or SFE have a form someone can fill in and sign to confirm they’re separated too. One of the SFE reps will hopefully be able to link you to it tomorrow
