Best Leeds Becket accommodation

I’m going to be studying at Leeds Becket University this year but I’m unsure on which accommodation to choose. I’d like to meet new people and after the year we’ve just had I’d like the opportunity to socialise and party. Which accommodation is best for this?
Yeah I wanna know too about to book

Hello! Fellow Beckett student here, third year finished.

It really depends on two things mainly: your campus, and your budget. Headingley campus has it's own accommodation on-site, made up of en-suite bedrooms in flats of 12, or flats of 8/9 with bathrooms shared between two people. The en-suite rooms, despite sharing a kitchen with more people, are the most expensive. I was there 3 years ago and it was 172 a week, so I can imagine its around 190 per week now. The shared ones are a little less (around 130 I believe, but you should check the site).

City campus doesn't have accommodation, but it does have halls nearby. Kirkstall is pretty popular - shared kitchen style flats like normal, with both shared bathroom and en-suite. It's within walking distance from both campuses, has a social hub, bar, etc. Another popular one is Marsden House, which is closer to the city centre (although lots of people commute as the bus routes are really easy and quick, with a bus that goes right onto the Headingley campus).
From what I've heard, Marsden is a pretty popular one for partying and going out, but all of them have elements of that tbh.

You have other private halls and residences that are slightly further out, such as Mill Street and Arena Village. The most expensive in the city is Broadcasting Tower. It's not hard to miss, it sits alongside one of the city campus buildings and is great if you're in city campus anyway, but again, people in Headingley will commute. It's around the same as Headingley Campus, slightly more per week (200ish+).

The actual accommodation booking will happen on Beckett's website, where I think you can now actually see who has already booked which flat (so you can see if that person is male or female, how old they are, and what course they're doing) it's a pretty decent way of being able to see if a flat is all male or female, mixed, or whatever.

Hope this helps!
