Seems quite strange asking about the quiet/noisy area, surely you don't really know until you know who's going to live there? :s-smilie:

Guys just wondering, when we filled in our halls accomm things online last year/year before/this year etc etc did they ask you if you wanted to be in a quiet/noisy area and other things or were the only questions whether you wanted single sex or smoking?

I think it's just whether you wanted single sex, smoking (but tbh I think it's all non smoking rooms now) and any medical conditions. There's a section where you can add stuff though, not sure what it was like last year, but it's definitely in the applications this year!

Ah cool, just wondering 'cause I couldn't remember.

I remember my friend who was going to Exeter had a full on personality form to fill in and had to list this big list of interests (like shopping, clubbing, sport) How weird would that me. I think I prefer done more at random.

When I'm there for a couple of days next week I am decorating my room...... so excited! I am going to leave 3 walls white and paint one wall this really nice teal colour. Then have black/silvery/white accessories. Ahhh exciting! No body will be there, I'm so gonna paint naked.

I'm down on Thackeray Road this year. No-one knows where it is, but it's in Portswood. Chocolate bar for anyone who actually does know (bar Jonny mind...cos I told him :p:

Just had my wall replastered and painted this week. Stupid thing is that they didn't even make the effort to find the right colour...I've got 2 shades of beige, 1 painted wall, and the other 3 sides are wallpapered with different patterns. My eyes have gone funny :eek3:

Ikea trip anyone? I need to find something storage-y/drawer like to put my desk stuff (there's a lot) and I can't keep it on my desk cos the stupid landlord got us these midget desks that only fits my laptop :frown:

I can't wait to get back - I need to go OUT! And not spend £50 in the process. I like being able to wander down to Sobar on a Tuesday night with £10 in my pocket and stagger back through my front door with a massive thing of chips from Charcoal Grill and change. Good times.

omgg is it really that cheap thats cool i spend bout 30 on a night out here in brum :| how much are taxis to wessex lane from the clubs? dyou mainly go out in the city centre or is there quite a lot of stuff near the uni? soz for all the questions :P

Umm depends whether you're going from Portswood or the city centre/Oceana. Oceana is about £10, Portswood is walkeable anyway, but like £4-5? Just walk, you can get food on the way back then!
