I'm keen for Jesters Shebz, though I'm not back in Soton for three weeks, and with my Sports Officer rubbish I've got loads of Freshers stuff to sort out.

Ah right, well actually my car broke down about two minutes into my journey from my house. So now I'm stuck at home without a car and an inevitable garage bill of an inordinate sum of money. Bad times.
that sucks... :frown:

I'm going to have to start doing a load of risk assessments for uni soon... no fun :frown:
Woah... this thread has sunk to the depths of this forum. Anyway, anyone looked at their timetables for this semester? Mine's nice but horrid at the same time... the two times I wanted to not have lectures were Monday til 6pm and on Wednesday morning and I've got both. Not impressed... I'm going to have to have an epic rush to get from NOC at 6pm on monday to highfield at 6pm... not impressed. Anyone invent the teleport yet?! Anyway, after week 5 I finish a module so i've got hours and hours and hours free to write up my dissertation. Woop.

Man, that sounds awesome!
These are the lecture times I am free this semester, without taking into account my SUMS committee stuff:

MON - 9-10, 2-4, 5-6
TUE - 11-1, 3-4
WED - 10-11
THU - 11-12, 1-5 (phew)
FRI - 11-12, 4-6.

This thread really makes me sad.

I remember the 2 years ago it was made. When none of us had started University yet and we were all so scared and excited and had no idea of what to expect. All the anticipation.. What are you all studying? What should we pack? Who's bought what tickets for Freshers' Week?! Anyone living in Monte? Or Glen Eyre? Or Hartley? Or Connaught?!

I've met some of my closest friends from this slightly geeky student forum, and for that reason i'm so glad that I have been a part of it!

But it's still sad to think that everything is different two years on.. All older and (maybe) wiser now.
So much has changed for everyone in the last 24 months. Some of us have changed our hair colour (or most of us!); some of us have learnt new languages; some of us have been through some really difficult ****; some of us have moved to the other side of the world(!); some of us have found our passion and some of us have lost it.
We've seen the first ever SO:Portswood, three Freshers' Weeks, a million Carnages, Student elections, Yo!Mamas, Kinki, Oceana, Orange Rooms, Jesters and Sobar, an amazing variety of societies.
We've had essays and exams, and deadlines and grades, Walks of Shame and LOTS of birthdays.

So..

All the original Southampton TSRers; I love you!

It sort of feels like this thread is fading.. I'm ready to graciously accept it!

We lobe you Clo!

At least I'll still get to see you next year when we're ragged old fourth-years. :h:
AGH! Don't mention the dreaded 4th year. I'm in sweet denial about it right now!

It seems like all the main players from this thread are now abroad. Sad times.
Myself, Shebz and Hemmerz are still about, definitely. We were all in Sobar last night. :h:

I see Oli now and again too!
Cloopy I <3 you
So, I went up to Highfield yesterday (I'm a NOC student - WOOOOO!) and saw all of these posters talking about a referendum to see if we want to join NUS. Anyone know anything more about this and why we're considering joining agian?

It's probably a load of spendaholics wanting discounts, tbh.

The referendum is at the end of Nov/beginning of September. General consensus is that it will be passed, and we will join NUS. Better all round I think!

I've never seen this thread before (I graduated after four years in July) but this post made me miss the place so much :frown:
