Yeah it sounds like glen is what you want, i would double check on the unilink website the busses to go to the hospital, as you will have to go there a lot, U6H goes to the hospital, i think you will find it easier from glen than highfield, but double check.

edit: i just looked, if you are at glen or highfield you will need to walk to campus and get the bus from campus, there is a direct bus from wessex lane, but i remember it was always pretty rammed with medics+other students, when it gets to highfield campus all the non medics will get off and create some space so it should be okay, my friend used to walk round the corner to the bus stop before monte to get the bus to the hospital.

http://www.unilinkbus.co.uk/pdfs/networkmap.pdf this map has the halls on it as little houses, so you can see where they are in relation to the busses

thanks a lot, I'd rep you more, but its not letting me

I'm liking the sound of glen eyre right now, but will have a look around myself at the post offer day (I assume there is one)

Thanks

You'd think in your fourth year you would have the most choice! Seems odd. Anyway, they look interesting, i guess.

Are most people taking pure, or applied?

I think it varies really - Southampton is quite a Pure-focussed University, but there are a lot of students that do mostly applied modules, even in fourth-year.

Jonathan Brooks who is running in the SUSU elections is a fourth-year Maths student doing mostly applied. :h:
Oh my god. What is this 10.30 wake up time? I haven't had a lie in for... well since before exams is the last time I can remember.
Didn't get a chance to sleep until 4am, then I got rudely awoken at 8am by a phone call. :judge:

Bit of a breather for the weekend - football today replaces campaigning but I'm back either in the Cube (DJ Fresh) or Jesters tonight with a day completely off tomorrow. I need sleep.
And that's why phones go on silent whilst you're sleeping. When does campaign week finish?
My phone's always on vibrate. :dontknow:

Elections start on Monday afternoon, the actual campaign week finishes on Thursday night when results are announced (Cube open until 4am :zomg:)

So how on earth did you wake up for it?! Just wanted to know so I know when there's actually space to put my swo posters up...
I'm a light sleeper.

Spent 31 hours campaigning and had 8 hours sleep now over two days/nights!
Marcus stop moaning! You clearly like it and want to do it so stop saying how hard and tiring it is and enjoy it!
Well the thing is that it's so much fun while I'm actually doing it, but the moment I get home and get a chance to 'relax' I feel so drained and useless!

Great night at Quiz and Curry though - they had a round all about Pokemon. :awesome:
I'm actually quite loving the election stuff, the atmosphere outside the SU the other day was immense, felt like a festival haha.
We're doing a 'Smurf Olympics' on the concourse today. :gah:

ynom nom nom.

Loz and any one else, who's going to the election results night?! I'm not campaigning for anybody but really want to go!
Yeahh same, my flatmate's campaigning for Adam Moloney so he'll be heading down and I've said I'll come with just to see the elections night stuff :h:
Smurf Olympics has been postponed until tomorrow because of the rain.

Adam Moloney is running against Shane - no-one has any idea who he is. :colondollar:

Cube is open until 4am on Elections night. :h:
Ahh I know bless him, even he admits he has pretty much no chance xD

He's the only fresher running isn't he? I can't see why you'd want to take a year out between your first and second year, just when you get into the swing of things, plus you'd know so many less people.

Yeahhhh i want to! I think I might do if it's not weird for non campaign people to go :p:

Need to vote...
Sad that Ben Brooks has gone out of the election. I know him and he's a great guy. Also, on a completely unbiased viewpoint of the manifestos his was very very strong and good. I would have voted for him anyway. A real pity that he pulled out.

Naah I don't reckon it's weird, I mean, it's our student elections and surely the campaign teams are the minority, and this year we know more people running than ever! Let's go! I went last year, and Dietz came too and she didn't campaign!
I know Ben Brooks from home.

It's a shame in the sense that he's a real nice guy, but unfortunately SUSU elections tend to be a popularity contest. :erm:

Definitely all go on Thursday though, Shebzski will be there too!
