It's my housemate's bday, not for me so I don't really have a say. :colondollar:

You'll be at mine tomorrow night though so it's all good. :h:

Heyyyyy, am still lying in bed in loads of layers alternating between coughing and sneezing my lungs out! And if you've got your theatre stuff to sort out today I reckon we should do it Monday instead? Hopefully I will be better by then! Sorry, I hate being ill!
It's my fake birthday today - feel free to take a jolly to Sobar tonight if you wish. :h:

Haha, have you seen what Emma has written Marcus? She's ill you ninny!
I don't like Emma anyway. :colondollar:

Haha, jokes. I'm feeling pretty hammered already if I'm honest, can't wait to "see ma bitches in da club"
Today I got the lovely news that my application for accommodation (for my second year mind you...) was unsuccessful. It was only 2 months later than they said they'd reply!

Well it's lucky I found a house 2 or 3 weeks ago then
Bad times, but a house will probably be more fun anyways!

I am now the last one left in my flat, I don't cope well with being alone :frown: back to Wales tomorrow though.
I'm really looking forward to fourth-year!!
I met my project supervisor today - I'm really not. :indiff:
I don't have to do a project in final year because I just submitted it todayyyyy  Life is good...

Out of curiosity what do you do in 4th year if you do your project 3rd year? No dissertation type thing at all? Just exams?

Well the project in 3rd year is compulsory, which is why they don't request you to do a dissertation, as it's kind of considered equal to a dissertation (not as many words, but you're completing in in a foreign country and in a foreign language). As such, there is an option to do a dissertation if you wish in final year, but if you don't want to, you just do language and content units, like any other year.

Ahhh I see. So do you reckon it would be a bad idea getting a job abroad in my 3rd year as it might not give me enough time to write the year abroad project or did you find it didn't take too long to do?

I had a job; I was working 30 hours a week plus going to French class...and I still managed to do it. But it depends on your personality; I'm the kind of person that needs to be kept busy to be productive. My typical uni day for example would be this:

7am-9am Extension classes
9am-11am Free time which I used to do project
11am-1pm Conversation classes
1pm-2pm Lunch
2pm-3pm French class
3pm - 4pm Free time which I used to do project
5pm-7pm Conversation classes
8pm-10pm Salsa

As in, I always had a lot on, but because of that I made the most of my free time to really get my project work done, whereas if I'd only had about 12 hours a week like BC people, I think I'd have been bored and slumped into a state of general unproductivity. In fact I dont think I've ever had such a good work ethic as this year, being given a lot of work has really turned me into a hard-worker...and to think, Mexicans have a rep for being lazy

I guess I'll wait til its been marked though before I start dispensing advice with any confidence...
Oh and the project does take a long time to do! I started in February and finished last week! Just stick to the deadlines they give you though and you'll be fine...for example they request a draft chapter by the end of March...work hard to achieve this, it will really help you later down the line.
A draft chapter?

I have to have 20 pages written by the end of Semester 1. :colonhash:

May I just say you're looking absolutely stunning? :colondollar:

Don't worry though, I'm not going to poke your bosoms like all the creepy guys in Sobar last night. :erm:
