Ow gosh, thankyou 3 pos-reppers.. My faith in TSR humanity has been restored!
Fed up of having old people look unimpressed when they ask me which university I go to and I reply with Southampton, what do old people have against Southampton?
Southampton don't advertise so they don't have a reputation which is in par with their actual rank.
^ This, tbh.

Most people who aren't 'in the know' with the way modern Universities are run don't realise how different things are taught in the same subject at different Universities, and how the teaching of some subjects (especially Engineering and Oceanography) are at the very least on a par with Oxbridge - guarantee if you said you went to one of those they'd be drooling with happiness.
