I'm a 4th year and I've never been chucked out of anywhere. I was part of a pub crawl which got followed through town by a police riot van and a bunch of walking police too... good times!
Hi there! I've just received an offer for Aeronautical Engineering and I'm really happy, but I think there's something wrong with it. I'm from Bulgaria and here the highest grade for my Diploma is 6. I've got two friends who have offers from Southampton and their offers are both 5.80, but my offer is only 5. This is pretty low and I'm starting to think it means the course is not so good. Does this make any sense? Should I write them, maybe they made a mistake with my offer? I hoped you'd know more about how they decide what exactly the offer should be
Housemate issues again. I honestly don't know what to do, except actually tell the landlord and see what possible action can be taken- that was always a last resort for me... I'm pretty tired of tiptoeing around my own ****ing house.

I am the same, you youngsters make me sick, getting chucked out willy nilly

Southampton's very good for engineering. It may just be that they really really want you so they've given you a low offer you can easily achieve. Your computer science friend should have a higher offer as that is probably our best degree in the whole university. Not sure why Civil is so high but again, it's engineering so it's going to be good. I wouldn't worry - You've gotten into a very good university on a very good course!
One is Civil Engineering and the other Computer Science
I don't know then. If it were dentistry or medicine that might explain it but as far as I understand it their entry grades should be the same as yours as your courses are of a fairly similar academic standard.
Phone the admissions office for your course and ask them if the entry requirements are accurate.

Thanks for the reply! It just seems weird as it's the lowest grade any of my university choices have asked for and I expected it to be the highest.

Thanks Maybe I will probably phone them to make sure everything is fine
