What halls are you in? One of my flatmates was torrenting (is that even a word?) constantly last year and nothing ever happened. They never blocked anything.

Monte. All of my friends torrent and one of them, since they got here, has filled up 3 2Tb hard drive with movies (multiple languages) and FLAC music files they've downloaded through torrents. I downloaded Four Lions and Kick Ass and now the torrent sites have been blocked :frown:

Yep. There's usually one for each halls but they'll get set up in August. It's fun until you actually start uni when all the page ever gets used for is:

1.) Buying and Selling tickets to events or clubs or other night outs
2.) People you've never seen before asking for your vote in the elections
3.) People selling tobacco that they've bought from Spain and not paid import duty on
4.) People getting fraped.

But that's the same at every uni. You should be excited, Southampton is one amazing uni!!!

I also haven't started!

Finishing off an essay to hand in before 4, and then I MUST finish the trans by the end of the day. I'm NOTNOTNOTNOTNOT doing work on my birthday - strict regulations!
Feeling just a little bit rough today due to Jesters, and soon I have to go sit in a tiny, stifling room for 2 hours and learn about bilingual education...zzzzzz

Just came on here to say Sainsbury's opens today...
There was a massive queue outside Sainsbury's at 8am, by all accounts, and one sole protestor. :lol:

That picture is Portswood high street as of about half an hour ago - a boy got ran over at the crossing, though not much more than that is known.
Hopefully he's ok and wasn't run over by the waitrose lorry!

The protester probably went home after a few minutes. Looks like I won't have to trek to ASDA weekly anymore!
Why not just order online like everyone else? :p:
I'm picky and like to pick the stock I take home plus it means I have an excuse not to revise :tongue:
