I saw mine, got really excited, then realised it only showed one of my modules  I wonder how long until it adds my other two modules. Btw, I chose labour economics and the principles of finance...

This was posted from The Student Room's Android App on my GT-I9100

FFS, Principles of Finance lectures and masterclasses have the worst times, 5-6 on a Thursday and Friday

Why can't they just keep it between 9 and 5.

How is it with module choice? Is it made on first come first serve basis? Can I change them later? Hope there is no deadline for new students, is there any?

Each module has a quota of students. First allocated are those for whom the module is core or compulsory. Anything above that, up until the quota is first come first serve.

However seldom do modules ever fill up. I've only ever known three modules in the past three years to become full. One was a first year Microeconomics module for those with A-Level Economics, then it was the first year Macroeconomics module (talk about overcapacity - 600 students!), and then it was a third year Empirical Finance module.

You are allowed to change modules up until the end of the second week without any questions. After this date, you CAN change modules, but need written permission from the lecturer of the module you want to change TO. You don't need any extenuating circumstances or anything, don't worry, you just need to be able to convince the new lecturer if you want to switch from week three onwards.

Hah, that's nothing.

I've a module next semester that's 6pm till 8pm every day. Talk about death.

Also, don't worry, Christos will change your timetable anyway. The Friday lecture will be cancelled. He just doesn't do Fridays. Never has. I don't even know why timetabling bother to put it on. Expect a LOT of self-study with his module since he can't be bothered to teach most of it but will examine you on everything in the syllabus.
thanks a lot ACS, I think I will take some time to decide

Monday 9-10 and Friday 5-6. But if the below is true then we should be fine hopefully.

We used to have stats (most boring lecturer and lecture ever) 6-7 in the first year, lecture was always completely empty.

That's good to know. I like self-study.

I might have just been unlucky but I got kicked off two courses in my first year. My first choice was International Relations, that was full up, then I started going demography 'cause they told me to, two weeks later that's over subscribed apparently (as soon as he told everyone it was a easy first everyone did it) so I had to find another one. By this time social sciences was full and I had to go to a another department, so did a history module (I actually preferred this though, because History is my favourite subject). I'd say try and pick before you go back on my experience.

I am still reeling from my timetable - 12 hours, coming from a 20+ hour week for two years, I don't think I'll know what to do with myself! >.<

[and if you say 3YP, I shall hunt you down and hurt you. (I kid, but don't.)]

There is a deadline for changing them, but it's a couple of weeks into October. I think it's on a first come, first served basis but I don't really know...
Hah! I just realized I have Mondays off apart from in week 1 and 6  And only 2 9am's for the entire semester
Why do you have to log in again just to see your timetable? Never had to do that before...
Hmm, I enrolled for my course but when I go on the programme tab of SUSSED, there's nothing there and nothing on my timetable either.
Just what I wanted at last!!!

Labs in the morning and lectures in the afternoon. I can go in awake for once!
So... because I'm too lazy to google, when does freshers start? Just so I can prepare myself for the onslaught of society things for this society I'm still going to go to!
