Signed up to 100mb/sec, getting 30 half the time and 100 other times. Probably due to throttling.

Karma Charger, they may have throttled your internet to that speed. They have a usage limit of 5Gb between 5-7pm I think and if that is exceeded, your internet speed drops significantly.

Haven't gone anywhere close to 5GB between 5 and 7 (only moved in yesterday), it's been too slow. Phoned Virgin Media, they're sending an engineer tomorrow to take a look.

My laptop broke for 4 days this week, was given a death sentence by a german computer repair man, then miraculously came back to life last night. A laptop giving up the ghost would have been ****** enough in GB but on your year abroad its a pretty lonely sentence, so I am soo happy right now.

Also, I am now officially going to be in southampton between the 20th and 23rd of October, thats in 3 weeks :woo:

And on the subject of internet I found my flatmates last year that lived at the back of the house couldn't get internet at all in their rooms. I was alright, my room was at least on the same floor and only a few metres away from the router.

Ok, seriously, how many students are there at the Uni nowadays because I swear they're going to need to make Jesters bigger if they keep increasing the numbers. I went out for dinner last night and we popped along to The Hobbit for a quiet drink afterwards... mistake - it was literally rammed and Jesters was queueing half way down to Sobar. Amusingly, Sobar was offering free entry to people in the queue and they were all very adamant about going to Jesters... poor sobar. I've always said they would seriously improve their reputation if they had a curly wurly slide down into the garden and an elevator back up. Easy.

We got in with gold cards no problem at 10:30 but a few went to get cash. 5 mins later it was one in one out and they got in at 12:30...

Also I reckon Sobar would have a much better reputation if they started putting horse tranquilizers in their triples. ****ing hell, every time I go, 2 guys minimum try and start a fight with me.
