Been struggling with motivation and been feeling stressed with the pandemic. Until March I was at home all day because schools and colleges were closed so it made me demotivated and down because nothing was exciting and stuff. In March places reopened but I still have demotivation. I haven't been our with my friends since before this covid, back then a thing I enjoyed to do with one of them is just ho out in cars, it's been hard under restrictions because they don't allow it but I was just thinking if restrictions will allow me to when they are relaxed on Monday, I have heard stuff on other things but I haven't heard on the situation with car sharing if it will be allowed or not. Please help.

“If you need to travel:

walk or cycle where possible
you must not share a car with anyone from outside your household or your support bubble, unless your journey is made for an exempt reason”

There's nothing stopping you meeting up with friends, and hasn't been for a while; you just follow the rules on how many people you join up with, and do it outdoors.

There's nothing to do other ways. It doesn't matter I'll just wait until June

So you aren't interested in meeting these people and talking to them and having a laugh, only seeing their cars. You need to get out and socialise properly.

Meeting in a park for example, I agree with you.

There's nothing in the legislation that would prevent you being able to do so.

As per CPS guidance, a car is considered "indoors" for the purposes of an indoor gathering.

"It follows that where indoor gatherings are not permitted, or are restricted in number, this will apply to any gathering in a car."

In other words, when Step 3 begins on Monday, you will be able to car share under the rules set out for indoor gatherings.

Please ignore the links off to GOV.UK by others in this thread. They are not up to date.

There's nothing wrong with meeting people in cars, he's said he'll wait until June and as he's there's nothing to do. People socialise different ways and meeting outside is just op doesn't want to do which there's nothing wrong with.
