Hello!

I was wondering if anyone has any input for this question about speciation and evolution. This is taken from the Eduqas sample assessment resources, which unfortunately does not have any mark schemes.

I am having trouble using the information given in the question, specifically in relation to the use of the information about the single ancestor X.

So far, these are the points I have included:
Spoiler:
Show

* What it means to be a species
* Differences between allopatric and sympatric speciation
* Evidence of allopatric speciation (Masai Giraffe and Reticulated Giraffe may have behavioural isolation)
* Evidence of sympatric speciation (Soth African giraffe and Angolan giraffe)?
* Founder effect and genetic drift resulting in the small populations of West African Giraffe, Rothschild's Giraffe and Thornicroft's Giraffe.

Any further input would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much!
