Hi;

I just want to ask but, I know after 30 years once you've received your student loan (or when you graduate, don't quite know how it works properly), it is wiped. I am just wondering if the same is done with any interest it accrues?

I.e. Say I have £100,000 worth of debt with a 2.6% interest rate (meaning an interest of £2,600), would the £2,600 remain once it has been wiped or would the £2,600 be wiped too?

Many Thanks!

Hi there, you can find out more information here https://www.gov.uk/repaying-your-stu...f-or-cancelled

If that doesn't answer your full query, I advise you to contact our repayments department by calling 0300 100 0611 or messaging them on Facebook/Twitter.
Thanks, Isaac
