Hi,

My partner has a degree from Chile and has applied for finance for a nursing degree in the UK.

Student finance have asked for evidence of the degree and now she is worried that she will not get funding despite being told she could earlier in the process (not officially)

I have seen some evidence that a second degree in nursing can receive funding such as below:

https://www.gov.uk/government/public...bursary-reform

However a thread I read earlier didn't list nursing as one of the courses that could get funding as a second degree.

Are you able to clarify?

EDIT: This Thread is where it doesn't list nursing, not to diminish any of the other courses but it seems odd that Architecture is listed but not nursing:

Thanks

Hi there, nursing is an exception course so previous study does not affect eligibility as long as the applicant is not professionally registered in this field.

Please ask the applicant to call us or message us on Facebook/Twitter so we can review their account.
Thanks, Isaac

Thanks Isaac,

She will be very relieved to hear that , it can be disheartening to think that she might not get it (especially since her teaching degree from Chile isn't relevant here)

I will ask her to ring or ask on twitter.

Thanks,
