Won a league cup and already get ahead of yourself :colondollar:

Remember, it's the hope that kills you.

Hey, when you finally get the right man in (as you did with Klopp) then small steps are always celebrated hugely 😄

ten Hag isn't putting a foot wrong at the moment and it's luck that the Glazers, through Woodward/Arnold, have appointed a coach who seems on an upward trajectory and in tune with modern football.

I'm actually feeling optimistic about tomorrow which is a combination of the respective teams' form, but it must have been a while for United to do the double over Liverpool which making a guess might have been under Van Gaal?

This loss at a time of club sale will put downward pressure on price and upward pressure on the need to strength in midfield . . . . not even a magician can work without enough white rabbits

What I said seems even more apt after the match!

Hope is an *******. If you don't expect it, the 'hope' scores seven goals against you to make fun of your team for the rest of the season. Feel so sorry for the loyal fans.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Could have been worse, it could have been Gary Neville pre-match ("these players are tough!")

Good management by ten Hag on Thursday, now can quietly drop players tomorrow without it looking like he's playing the blame game.

Today was one of the most disgraceful refereeing performances I’ve ever seen at Old Trafford. The PL is an absolute farce when you can practically catch the ball under your arm to stop a player scoring and VAR isn’t bothered.

Never mind, inwards and upwards. Top 4 is easy because the teams under us are crap, and we’ve still got a couple of cups to play for

Are you forgetting about the 3 points Man United were lucky to receive against Man City after the blatant 1st offside goal ? Over the season these sorts of decisions balance out.

It also seems like there are only owner protests whenever the team has a bad result. Is this correct ?

That was not blatant, otherwise goal wouldn’t have stood, Casemiro tackle was unintentional and he won the ball both var and the referee was appaling handball went unnoticed by the referee shocking officiating.

thought you were in the race

Oh, true. I remember. I have already forgotten that United was a big team in the past.

You have a good sense for irony.

Lol.

Sorry never replied to this. It was offside from what I remember.

I’m sure you a nice guy but you remind me of those Manchester United fans who just wear Man United football shirts at home every day.

Anyway, what are your opinions about the race for the top 4 ? Will Tottenham / Newcastle catch you up ?

Was I right or was I wrong ?

My boyhood team I wish I was a season ticket holder. I think it’s personally over Top 4. I think It’ll be Manchester City, Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester United to finish in the Top 4. Brighton are playing well but Spurs dip in form every other game. I’d say anything more than 65 points 70 to be safe is enough for Top 4 so for us we’d need 14 more points, 9 games to play. 4 of those games are teams in the bottom half of the table.

Agree, think United have the best squad in the league but they've just taken some time to get used to ten hags tactics.

Imagine spending £500mil in 6 months and not having the best squad in the league.

We don't have the financial power of big state owned clubs like Newcastle/City or old money PL darlings like man utd Liverpool and arsenal. In reality our performances should be compared to teams like Tottenham.

I do believe man united clearly have the strongest squad in the league though.

You mean you don't have the financial power because you've outspent them all? The way FFP works means Chelsea can spend more than Newcastle (as Newcastle are restricted by their low revenues). So Chelsea have more financial power than the rest. That's why Boehly spunked £500mil in 6 months and no one else can!

Winning 2-0 at 80 minutes at the Theatre of Screams.

To then lose the tie 5-3 on aggregate in the Europa League to a Seville side that sit 13th in La Liga

:rofl::dice::rofl::dice:

What happened to ETH being the new messiah?

I'm sure there will be lots more anger towards the Glazers and more bleating about how Man Utd need to spend another £200+mil on revamping the squad.

Let's ignore the 400mil spent in the last 2 seasons..
